Montage is looking for a Director of Marketing to join our growing team. Qualified candidates will have the skills, experience, and attention to detail needed to create and execute effective marketing campaigns and develop strategic plans to meet agency and client needs.

This is a full-time, exempt position working a hybrid schedule at Montage’s McLean, VA and Rockville, MD offices, and the employee’s home office. The anticipated annual salary for this position is $95,000 – $105,000.

About the Role

The Director of Marketing will oversee Montage's marketing department and its personnel. In this role, the Director will be responsible for the development of marketing strategy based on market intelligence, marketing concepts, content, campaigns, and marketing tools and channels related to both agency and client work.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of direct integrated marketing experience (advertising, digital, events, social, etc.)
  • 5+ years of team management experience.
  • Experience with federal and state government contracts preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field, Master’s preferred

Responsibilities

Account Direction

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer.
  • Develop and implement processes, resources, and tools to support the work.
  • Analyze client goals and conduct research to develop detailed marketing plans and schedules for campaigns.
  • Create awareness for client business activities and initiatives through the design and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies.
  • Assign marketing tasks for campaigns to the marketing team and oversee the campaign’s performance to ensure it stays on track and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to ensure the success of deliverables.
  • Conduct full-cycle management of marketing campaigns for client projects.
  • Assess and evaluate resource management.
  • Analyze campaign data to evaluate KPIs and drive future strategic decisions.
  • Develop department budget and manage resource allocation amongst projects in collaboration with leadership.
  • Keep updated on competitor’s marketing movements as well as current trends through general market research.
  • Support business development content and proposals.
  • Business travel and other related work as needed.

Team Management

  • Direct, oversee, and manage team assignments.
  • Engage company tools and techniques to effectively manage team.
  • Collaborate with team to assess the performance of the strategies and provide guidance to optimize results.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Support the cross-departmental communication and collaboration amongst the project team.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proven track record of success designing, planning, and implementing campaigns for internal and external audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to engage and lead client marketing.
  • Experience with directing industry research and providing strategic outputs rooted in research data.
  • Proficient knowledge of data tracking and analytics to drive insights and strategic decision-making.
  • Effective time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • High-level emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple people, work streams, and projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced competencies in Mac systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
